All individuals normally residing in Ontario over the age of 18 are eligible to contribute to candidates in Kingston's municipal election. Contributions over $25 can be made by cheque, money order, eTransfer, or another method that clearly identifies the source of the donation. Contributions under $25 may be made in cash. The maximum contribution to a single campaign is $1200, and contributors are limited to an aggregate total of $5000 for all candidates for city council. Donor information is publicly released for all contributions over $99.
