Murphy for Kingston
Congratulations to Jeff McLaren on his re-election as Councillor for Meadowbrook-Strathcona. I wish you all the best for the next four years.
I am deeply grateful for the support of my family, friends, volunteers, endorsers, supporters, donors, advisers, and all the other people who helped with this campaign. We reached all corners of the district and had many meaningful conversations with our neighbours. Without the support of Team Murphy, this would not have been possible.
And last but not least, thank you to the people of Meadowbrook-Strathcona for being so kind and welcoming to our campaign. We are fortunate to live in a special part of Kingston with a strong sense of community.
My name is Michael Murphy
Michael Murphy grew up in the Meadowbrook-Strathcona area, graduating from St. Paul's Elementary and Regiopolis-Notre Dame High School. He now lives in Strathcona Park with his wife, Sara. Michael is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Queen's University, with a PhD in political science from the University of Ottawa.
Michael has represented Kingston and Frontenac Islands as a school board trustee since 2018, and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.
